If you haven’t heard yet…[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Common[/lastfm] was invited by First Lady Michelle Obama to the White House.

You’d think he was invited to perform…one of his music hit. But, instead he was invited to perform poetry? Yup! That’s exactly what the First lady invited him for! Of course, many criticized her for the decision because he had been labeled “vile” at one point because of his past lyrics, but she obviously didn’t care.  Common was dressed nicely and appreciated the opportunity.
