With R. Kelly‘s Trapped in the Closet series ready to make a return, the masked singer has dropped the video for “Share My Love,” the first single off his upcoming album Write Me Back.

The clip, which was directed by Director X, was shot last month in Chicago. The video finds Kelly partying with women–in lingerie, in short dresses, in fur.

“I got the dames with me on both sides,” he said in a behind-the-scenes clip he released Monday (April 16). “We’re gonna get it in and we’re having a lot of fun already. Everybody got the drinks. We’re making this a real party. We don’t like to do videos. We like to have fun and turn on the cameras while we do it.”

“Everything is going to go smooth,” he said. “We done put all the haters out the city. Chi is on 100 right now. And everybody’s swagger is on heaven. So y’all get ready.”

The release of “Share My Love” comes just weeks after IFC announced it would be airing Kelly’s upcoming Trapped In The Closet editions. His new album Write Me Back is a follow-up to 2010’s Love Letter. –Erik Parker, CBS Local
