He’s been called brash, he’s been called controversial and he’s even been called a comedic genius.
If you were in Tampa waiting for his show Saturday night the only thing you could call comedian Katt Williams was absent.
“Nobody ever took the stage,” said New Port Richey resident Justin Clark, who had a ticket for the show. “It was just house music.”
Williams was scheduled to perform at the Tampa Bay Times Forum but the show was called off about an hour and a half after it was scheduled to start due to “unforeseen travel issues.”
Clark was in his seat at the Forum when the announcement was made. He was looking forward to a night out and was very disappointed when he discovered Williams was a no-show.
“I was pretty excited [about seeing Williams],” Clark explained. “My wife and I recently had a baby so we don’t get out much.”
The Bay area man is a self-described Williams’ fan who, despite paying more than $200 for tickets, wasn’t angry or surprised by the cancellation.
“When we heard canceled I kind of just looked at my wife and said there was a good chance that this was going to happen,” Clark added.
That has everything to do with Williams.
