What a serious BUZZ KILL!!!!

Matthew Heller, of TAMPA, went to YBOR CITY to party.

When he came back to his tricked-out truck, he realized it had been BROKEN INTO and RANSACKED!

He should call the COPS!  Except — it WAS the COPS — who had broken in?!

Seems a K9 officer had “alerted” to the scent of MARIJUANA — OUTSIDE of the PASSENGER side of the truck — and so, the cop BUSTED IN and searched.

He found NOTHING.

So, he left a NOTE??!!!

All — completely — LEGAL!!!!

The federal case — for this DUMB-ASSERY — began in the FLORIDA panhandle and was THROWN OUT by the Supreme Court.  It was then — UNANIMOUSLY — over-turned in WASHINGTON last year?!

So, exactly, how ACCURATE are drug-sniffing dogs anyway?  A recent study, conducted by the Chicago Tribune, analyzed three years of data from police departments in the suburbs of Chicago and found that — just 44% of dog alerts — resulted in the discovery of drugs or paraphernalia.

In addition, a study conducted by researchers at the University of California at Davis, and published in January, states unequivocally that “handler beliefs affect scent detection dog outcomes,” and that detector dogs are cued by their handlers 85% of the time.

Keep in mind — we’re talking about TRAMPLING your 4th Amendment RIGHTS over WEED — not BOMBS.

Weed, that’s about to be LEGAL in FLORIDA anyway…
