On Tuesday, December 11, Bert Smith Volkswagen, located at 3800 34th Street North in St. Petersburg, will host a tree lighting ceremony. Afterwards, at 6:00pm Program Director and Morning Show Host Orlando Davis will be lifted atop the “Toy Drive” scaffolding, where he will live for 94 hours until a generous amount of donations are received.
Earlier this year, the Tampa Bay community was declared one of the most financially distressed metro areas. Many families are struggling to afford basic necessities, leaving them unable to purchase gifts for the holidays. New, unwrapped toys, bikes and gift cards will be accepted at 3800 34th Street North in St. Petersburg. Proceeds and gifts benefit The Children’s Home: a non-profit organization, which serves as a sanctuary to abused, neglected or abandoned children.
Shout out to our boy ATP l Alex Tirado Photography for taking some awesome photos on the last day!
In addition, new, unwrapped toys will also be accepted at various drop boxes throughout the Bay area, these locations are listed below. Click on the images to view a map for each location.
